Banyan Rail Services Inc. (“Banyan Rail”), is a railroad support services company headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.

We are a publicly traded company led by Gary O. Marino, Chairman & CEO. Our mission is to grow shareholder value through strategic acquisitions of rail-related service companies throughout North America. Our common stock is traded on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board under the symbol "BARA" [OTCBB: BARA].

On September 4, 2009, Banyan Rail completed its first acquisition with the purchase of 100% of the equity securities of The Wood Energy Group, Inc. (“Wood Energy”) for $6.4 million. Wood Energy, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is one of the nation’s largest railroad tie reclamation/energy generation companies.

Founded in 2001, Wood Energy reclaims railroad ties for Class I, regional and short line railroads and then disposes of the ties to either the energy co-generation or landscape markets. In addition, the company processes wood products for forest products companies for additional sources of biomass fuel.
